Hellooooooo humans! I am so thrilled to finally get to speak, well… write to you! My name is Destiny and I’m the Mermaiden of the Caribbean Sea. My kingdom is in the southern Atlantic Ocean near the Gulf of Mexico. There are many tropical islands in my homesea. The water is warm and deep blue and I love it here!
When we finally convinced the Mercouncil to allow us to contact the human world it was like a dream come true. I’ve been secretly listening to the landfolk make their beautiful island music for so long—I just knew you couldn’t all be as dangerous as some of the merfolk believed.
I love your music! Actually I love all music. And the only thing I love more than great music is… twirling and whirling along with music! I’ve heard that you humans call this “dancing”—only you do this on land with your two long fins called “legs”. Is this true? It sounds wonderfin!
My best finfriend is a crab named Frank. Well, actually he likes to let everyone know his full name is Francois Crusteau. But I just call him Frank. He’s a funny little guy. We have a secret hideout where we like to pretend we’re human sailors. It’s a sunken ship! That’s where we keep all the human treasures we find. And we find tons of treasures!
Frank likes treasure a LOT. I think it’s pretty and all, but what I really love is music. But Frank always wants more and more treasure. I don’t know what he thinks he’s going to do with it all. He’s just a little crab!
You see, all royal Mermaidens are blessed with special powers. Mine is my voice. I can use my voice to find things. By bouncing my sound waves off the things I’m looking for and receiving the signal with my tail, I can find almost anything. It comes in pretty handy when other merfolk need to find things they’ve lost. But mostly I like to use my voice to make music.
When I was a younger mermaid I had to learn to control my soundwaves. That’s because if I’m not careful my voice can make things break and even explode! One time I even caused a pretty big earthquake when some treasure hunters tried to capture me. Not fun. I never want to do that again.
I just love to have fun and make music. I can’t wait to learn more about human music and all the amazing sounds you can make! Until next time…

Oh I just got my tail the other day (eee!), and saw this site on the packet, so I thought sure why not try that out, and what a cute site! ^ ^ I love all the Mermaid Stories, can’t wait to listen to them and try out some games on here 😀

Oh. My. Bananas. She is literally exactly me (except that I’m Middle Eastern)!!! I’m actually an opera singer and my personality consists of bouncing off the walls 24/7, it’s crazy how much I can relate to Destiny XDDDD
Her and Jia are my absolute favorites but I love all of the Mermaidens!
