I don’t think it is fair when people design there tail on the computer because then it looks prefect, and the whole point of this is to draw it and show your art skills! Do you think it is fair Fin Fun?
Dec 1, 2017 at 4:35 pm
Claire,
The winner will be chosen by a random generator, and not based upon skills.

JSYK, digital art still takes as much, if not more skill than traditional art. There is no “generate art” button. There is bucket fill, but that simply doesn’t look good, you have to know how to use certain tools, have a steady hand, and sketch it out on paper even before getting on a computer. Traditional art takes me thirty minutes while digital takes me several hours. For years, traditional art was still easier for me. I guarantee that whoever does things digitally puts in a lot of hard work. I’ve actually seen some people be as lazy as to cut the tail part out of the template and put the template on top of a colorful shirt. Both styles of art take hard work and if you win, you want your tail to look great and some people may not have the materials or skill to do good traditional art.

Why does the child have to be 13 years or older?
I just bought my daughter(she’s 6) her first tail in July from here.
Dec 1, 2017 at 1:50 pm
Stephanie,
By law, children have to be 13 years of age and older with a parents permission to fill out the form themselves. If they are younger, a parent must fill it out for them.
